| Not how many people have you invited to church (Jesus said go tell the
world of Jesus, not go into the world and invite them to church), or
how many people you have said "Jesus loves you" to.
How many people have you led to Jesus Christ?
In a courtroom:
God is judge
We stand guilty of sin
Sin is transgression of the law
Christ is advocate
Atonement (covering with a price) is satisfaction
Repentance is conviction
Acceptance is pardon or remission
Spirits witness is of pardon
Christian life is obedience
We stand before the Judge, and tell God, "I will never hurt you like
that again. In fact, I will do this for you as well. I will
do this, and I will worship you."
We walk away
We do EXACTLY what we said we wouldn't do
We come back
"Sorry, won't do that again"
We walk away
We once again lied to His face
We come back
"God I don't ever want to do or be like that again" (Lie)
We walk away
We do it again
How much longer will we all take sin so lightly? How long will be
willfully nail Christ to the cross, and have no shame? How long
will we come into the throne room of God, and expect Him to help us,
but expect NOTHING from ourselves?
How long will we go to church and sing songs of praise and worship, and really just be lieing to God, in the sound of music?
Where is the conviction today? Where is the hunger today?
At least in my life, I am seeing a lack of this.
